My Role
For The Shadows That Linger, I worked as the writer. My responsibilities included writing the dialogue for character interactions, giving characters unique mannerisms and patterns of speech.
Dialogue Excerpts
When writing for the dialogue, I wanted each character to have their own quirk that would shine through. For example, Ilana rarely uses contractions, Lorraine speaks very timidly, Damon stutters often, and Oswald uses a lot of lingo from the 1930s. Not only did this help for characters to sound unique from each other, but it also helped to make sure that characters were being written consistently. In these scenes, Ilana is confronting the suspected killers about secrets she discovers during the game. It's up to the player to decide how tactfully they wish to do so.
