My Role
As the lead writer and narrative designer for Soul Mates, I am in charge of character creation, world building, character treatments, writing Romance Events, and working with the other team members in different areas of Game Design to create a cohesive story and tone throughout the game.
Character Treatments
In order to bring our characters to life and make them feel more authentic, the narrative team created Character Treatment sheets to fill out when creating the different characters. Not only does this help us make sure that we are portraying the characters accurately and in a similar style, it will also help the entire team be able to get an idea of who is in our cast of characters, especially when we decide to bring on more people to the team.
With the crushing weight of parental expectations on her shoulder, Brenda never settled for anything less than perfection. Everything in her life was perfect, she got perfect grades, had the perfect opera career, married the perfect husband, or so she thought until the bastard poisoned her.
Charlie Adams never had much luck finding friends throughout his childhood. His only friend was his childhood puppet, in which he now resides. He hoped that once he reached Oregon with his family that his luck would change, but life (or death) had other plans.
