Possession Obsession is a supernatural party game where you work as an intern for the devil. Compete with your fellow interns to come out on top and get hired on full-time at the Hellish Events Limited Liability Corporation (or the H.E.L.L.C for short).

My Role
As the sole writer and narrative designer for Possession Obsession, I was in charge of character creation, world building, and writing character barks and interactions.
Backstories
One of my favorite aspects for working as a narrative designer and writer for Possession Obsession was creating characters and working on their backstories. When writing their backstories, I thought about each character and why they were working at the H.E.L.L.C. and why they were willing to go to any means necessary in order to continue working there. Because the game is very action-heavy and fast paced, I wrote the barks so that they would help to convey the backstories and personalities of the characters since they wouldn't be at the forefront of the game.
These are some of the barks I've written for gameplay moments in Possession Obsession. When getting Knocked Out of a host, characters will have dialogue depending on who knocked them out.
Green is a demon from a poor family and is highly motivated to succeed at the H.E.L.L.C. out of spite for those who mocked him for his family's financial status.
Blue is our only non-demon character in the game. She is desperate to continue working at the H.E.L.L.C. in order to buy back her soul after she was tricked into selling it.
Red always dreamed of going pro, but after a career-ending injury, he found a new meaning for his life tormenting mortals and believes the H.E.L.L.C. can help him pursue his new dream.
Yellow is the lazy son of the CEO of the H.E.L.L.C., the Devil himself. After his father gave him an ultimatum of start pulling his weight or get disowned from the family, he's motivated to work hard so he can laze about.
